Featuring a young Elvis Presley as Dr Carpenter and Mary Tyler Moore as the dynamic nun, Sister Michelle, this unlikely duo rescue Amanda (Lorena Kirk) from unrecognised autism and neglect. It also includes probably the first use of the autistic / artistic pun. Amongst the songs and bonhomie there are some very dated racial stereotypes (from Amanda's innocent mouth).
