Fictional (12A)
The story of a crazy scheme to bring Scottish salmon-fishing to the desert in the Yemen. Fisheries expert and civil servant Alfred Jones (Ewan McGregor) reluctantly agrees to collaborate, after pressure from on government officials to create a good news story about the Middle East. A colleague complains that //“anyone who, frankly, wasn’t suffering from some kind of Asperger’s”// would have shown more sensitivity to her feelings, when he reveals that he does in fact have Asperger syndrome. The film is also a complicated love story.
